Who We Are
Our Founder
Newton Siqueira Jr. is the director of Redland Dog Sanctuary, a non-profit rescue in the Redlands, FL. His lifelong commitment to the rescue of abandoned dogs in the area has lead him towards a new path in order to help sustain his efforts at the sanctuary. Jr. studied agro-animal husbandry at one of the top universities in Brazil, Universidade Federal Fluminense where he specialized in the artificial insemination of 5 different species one of which was bees. We here at Buzz and Bone want to bring this knowledge of beekeeping to our sanctuary in order to both bring in more revenue to help our rescue efforts as well as educate the public about the importance of bees for the environment.
Our Mission
To provide the community with knowledge and information about the impact that bees have on our world while continuing to sustain our no kill dog rescue.
Our Services
We will offer a wide range of beekeeping education and holistic products associated with bees both for humans and pets. We offer educational tours of our facility so folks can see up close the inner workings of a beehive. Our most exciting product will be that of propolis, a natural derivative from beehive production that has a wide range of health benefits for both pets and humans.
